Readers of Audiotechnews will probably have noticed that we've been a bit quiet of late, or at least 'less noisy'. When I say 'we', I mean me, obviously. But there is an Audiotechnews family. Oh yes! OK, so this site is geared towards professional sound engineers, AV-Technicians, and anyone with a passion for technical audio. I do my best to round up news that I think is interesting to them from their field of employment and enjoyment. Thinking about things a little more, it's my opinion that you people like gadgets, and tech stuff in your homes, studio and on the road as well.

One of the gigs just before Christmas gave me the excuse to talk about a bit of kit I've used quite a bit over the last year or so. I already said that I took a PA rig over to Lowestoft and didn't have to use it, as they had one in the venue. Who'd be a soundman?
I did end up using our own monitor system though, as well as our own desk (one we hire from MSL - the company who do all Jools Holland's shows). The desk is a Yamaha M7CL. A new 200-seat theater is planned for 192 Water St. in DUMBO, the former home of the East New York Fancy Basket Company
The Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports
