Universal Audio has announced the sequel to its most popular analog product (the LA-610, pictured): the LA-610 Mk II.

While the 610 preamp and LA-2A-style T4 compressor are functionally and sonically identical to the original that LA-610 users know and love, they’ve added user-requested features such as true compressor bypass, larger metering, improved output signal, and an auto-sensing power supply bringing the end user an enhanced user experience.

The LA-610 Mk II also features the highly popular “black on black” cosmetics of the LA-610 Signature Edition. The LA-610 has an MSRP of US$1999 and a MAP of US$1599, and is available in stores now.
